Garrison Diversion helps fund Tri-County Rural Water Project - August 26, 2003

Dave Koland, Manager, Garrison Diversion Conservancy District, will help cut the ribbon Wednesday, August 27 for Tri-County Rural Water District's new elevated water storage tank. Garrison Diversion is committed to helping provide recreational opportunities for the enjoyment of citizens within the 28 counties belonging to the Garrison Diversion Conservancy District. Garrison's Board of Directors has devoted 2/10 of its one mill levy for local and regional recreation projects. Garrison Diversion requests increased cooperation on Red River Valley Study

December 9, 2002 - Warren Jamison, Garrison Diversion manager, testified Monday in Fargo at a field hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Water and Power for increased cooperation between the Bureau of Reclamation and Garrison Diversion on the Red River Valley Water Supply Studies. Deputy Manager Hired

April 3, 2002, Dave Koland, Bismarck, accepted an offer by the Garrison Diversion Board of Directors naming him the Deputy Manager for the Garrison Diversion Conservancy District in Carrington, North Dakota. He will assume his duties in Carrington on June 1, 2002. [read more]

While we respect your organization's rights and views on issues, I believe you may have received misinformation concerning the Garrison Diversion project. Your May 21, 2001, letter to North Dakota Governor John Hoeven made some recommendations, which I would like to address. To begin with, it appears your informaton on the Garrison Diversion project is incomplete.
